The fertility centre in wiesbaden started its operation in February 1996 under the direction of Dr Martin Schorsch and Dr Thomas Hahn after several years of planning and preparation
The opening of the office was preceded by the idea that treating the desire to have a child is a highly innovative field of gynaecology where the diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities have grown enormously in recent years.
To keep up with current developments, it was necessary to focus exclusively on the area “Diagnosis and therapy of infertility”. The operation of our office is subject to the quality control DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. Thus during the past ten years advances in the basic sciences could be quickly integrated into the daily practice for the benefit of the couples concerned.
In addition we cooperate with the Genetic Institute of the University Hospital Mainz under the direction of Prof. Thomas Haaf and the Genetic Institute of Eva Schwaab, MD, in Wiesbaden. Andrological diagnosis and therapy are covered by Prof Dragana Filipas.
Four professional biologists work in the area of reproductive biology under the direction of Omar Khanaga, DSc. Today our team consists of 49 members who are spread over the areas of doctor’s tasks, reproductive biology, gynaecological endocrinology, andrology, operative areas and administration.
When you first come to see us, you will meet one of our doctors, who will remain your contact throughout the treatment. It is also possible, of course, to switch to a different doctor. As you will see when you read this brochure, it takes many people to put you into the centre of our work, with professional competence and understanding, and to help you to fulfil your desire to have a child.
